Day 3 - MARCH 18: TOKYO
This morning, take in the sweeping views of the dazzling metropolis from the heights of the Tokyo Sky Tree, before exploring the popular Asakusa district and its iconic Sensoji Temple. In the afternoon, enjoy the breathtaking cherry blossoms in Ueno Park and stroll through Yanaka, soaking up the charm of "Old Tokyo." End the day at the Imperial Palace and Chidorigafuchi Park, renowned for its sakura.
Day 4 - MARCH 19: TOKYO
The morning begins with a peaceful visit to the Meiji Shinto Shrine nestled in the woods, followed by a stop in the eclectic Harajuku district, a shopping paradise for fashion lovers. Your immersion in Tokyo’s fashion world continues along the elegant Omotesando Avenue. Once again, the cherry blossoms treat you to a burst of pastel hues at Shinjuku Gyoen and along the Meguro River. The day ends with a culinary stroll around the Taiko Bridge.

You’ll explore the Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shinto Shrine and stroll along the lively Komachi-dori street. After admiring the Great Bronze Buddha at Kotoku-in, you return to Tokyo for a traditional Japanese dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 - MARCH 21: TOKYO — HAKONE
This morning, you’ll step into the enchanting digital world of TeamLab Planets, a one-of-a-kind sensory experience that’s creative, immersive, and full of surprises. Then, you’ll leave the bustling capital for the peaceful region of Hakone, renowned for its natural hot springs. Enjoy a stroll through the Mount Fuji National Park and Owakudani Valley, where you’ll discover the famous black eggs said to bring good fortune. Settle into your luxurious ryokan before a traditional kaiseki dinner.

Today, you have the rare opportunity of attending the final day of the Osaka sumo tournament—an extraordinary opportunity to witness the most decisive and prestigious matches of this deeply traditional event, typically reserved for locals. The day ends with dinner in Kyoto, where you’ll settle into your elegant hotel—your peaceful haven for the next four nights.

Day 8 - MARCH 23: KYOTO — NARA — KYOTO
This morning is dedicated to Nara, a jewel of ancient Japan. You’ll explore the cradle of Japanese arts, from the Shinto Kasuga Shrine with its thousands of stone and bronze lanterns to the iconic five-story pagoda of Todaiji Temple, home to the massive golden Buddha, the Daibutsu. Enjoy a stroll through the streets of the former capital before heading to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, renowned for its thousands of vermilion torii gates. Return to Kyoto for a gourmet dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9 - MARCH 24: KYOTO — ARASHYAMA — KYOTO
Today, you’ll explore the famous bamboo forest of Arashiyama, a truly enchanting walk. Visit the Tenryuji Temple and its magnificent garden. After lunch, return to Kyoto for more discoveries in this open-air museum of a city. Highlights include the iconic Golden Pavilion of Kinkakuji and Ryoanji with its renowned Zen rock garden. To crown your imperial stay in Kyoto, we’ve arranged a traditional and gourmet dinner in the presence of a geisha and a maiko, who will offer you a rare glimpse into their unique cultural world.
Day 10 - MARCH 25: KYOTO
Today, continue discovering Kyoto’s many charms with visits to the Imperial Palace and Nijo Castle. You’ll then stroll through the traditional Higashiyama district to the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Along the way, be charmed by the preserved streets of Ninnenzaka and Sannenzaka, known for their historic architecture and delightful shops. The day concludes with an authentic tea ceremony in a private temple, an intimate initiation into the heart of Japanese culture. As night falls, explore the lively Gion district, where a traditional dinner awaits.

Visit the famous Korakuen Garden, designated a "Special Place of Scenic Beauty," along with its castle, before heading to the historic district of Kurashiki, where you’ll enjoy a boat ride along the river.
Day 12- MARCH 27: KURASHIKI — NAOSHIMA — KURASHIKI
Depart for Uno Port (about 30 minutes) and board a private boat to Naoshima, a jewel of the Seto Inland Sea. Your visit begins at the Chichu Art Museum, where natural light enhances the works of Monet, Turrell, and De Maria. Continue with the Lee Ufan Museum, a minimalist gem designed by Tadao Ando, followed by the Benesse House Museum, where art, architecture, and nature blend seamlessly. End the day with the Art House Project, where restored traditional homes host immersive contemporary installations. Return by boat at the end of the day.

Day 15 - MARCH 30: BEPPU
You begin the day with the striking natural spectacle of Beppu’s “hells,” bubbling geothermal pools and spouting geysers. Then, Kyushu offers you a uniquely relaxing surprise: a hot sand bath experience! You’ll continue the wellness theme with a private onsen to extend this moment of deep relaxation. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace, in complete serenity.

After lunch, you continue on to the charming Kumamoto prefecture. Settle into your ryokan, nestled in a vast bamboo forest, where a unique and timeless atmosphere awaits. This evening, enjoy a kaiseki dinner highlighting the region’s delicate and flavorful mountain vegetables.

At night, the sight of valley lights and, on clear evenings, a star-filled sky, creates a magical spectacle. DAY 17 - APRIL 1: KUMAMOTO — KAGOSHIMA
You begin the day with a visit to Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan’s three great feudal castles. After lunch, board the Shinkansen to reach Kagoshima. Framed by a landscape that blends lush subtropical vegetation with almost lunar scenery, the southern tip of Kyushu offers breathtaking views of Mount Kaimon, nicknamed the “Fuji of Satsuma.” In the afternoon, enjoy a close-up view of the Sakurajima volcano from the stunning historic Sengan-en gardens. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 18 - APRIL 2: KAGOSHIMA — OKINAWA
With a short flight this morning, you arrive in Naha, on Okinawa Island, known for its subtropical climate. Your day of discovery focuses on the Pacific War, with visits to Okinawa Senseki and the Peace Memorial Museum, moving sites that pay tribute to the Battle of Okinawa and offer a deep reflection on this historic event. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into your beautiful beachfront hotel overlooking white sand shores. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 19 - APRIL 3: OKINAWA
After exploring the serene Ufuya gardens, enjoy a delicious local lunch inspired by the famed Okinawan diet, an island celebrated for the longevity of its residents and their many centenarians! The day continues in Motobu with a visit to Okinawa Churaumi, home to one of the world’s most impressive aquariums, hosting some 21,000 marine species, including whale sharks and manta rays.
Return to the hotel for a relaxing late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 20 - APRIL 4: OKINAWA
A full day of vacation on a full-board basis, an opportunity to fully enjoy the activities offered by your hotel and its enchanting setting on the shores of the Pacific. Meals and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 21 - APRIL 5 : OKINAWA — TOKYO
Transfer during the day to Okinawa Airport for your Business Class flight back home via Tokyo. Overnight onboard.

Day 19 - APRIL 3: SHIRAKAWA-GO & GOKAYAMA
The day is dedicated to the historic villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, jewels of the Japanese Alps where time seems to stand still. Let yourself be swept away by the authentic atmosphere of rural Japan, where the steep thatched roofs of the gassho-zukuri houses rise proudly among rice fields and lush forests. This price includes:
- Pickup from and back to your home by private vehicle, train, or plane depending on your place of residence.
- Air transport on a regular airline in Business Class for long-haul flights, in Economy Class for domestic flights.
- Accommodation in double rooms in the hotels, ryokans, and lodges mentioned in the program (or similar).
- Full board based on 3 meals per day, except on certain days during flights or train rides. Drinks included (water, beer, wine, and soft drinks) with lunches and dinners.
- All transfers, excursions, and visits provided by minibus, train, and boat, with services of local English-speaking guides.
- The services of an English-speaking tour leader. All tips. Baggage handling. All taxes (airport, security, etc.).

All cancellations must be communicated by email or registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt and will incur the following cancellation fees according to the date of receipt:
- 6 months and more before departure : no cancellation fees ;
- From 179 to 120 days before departure: 30% of the amount of the trip ;
- From 119 to 60 days before departure: 40% of the amount of the trip ;
- From 59 to 30 days before departure: 50% of the amount of the trip ;
- From 29 to 8 days before departure: 75% of the amount of the trip ;
- Less than 8 days before departure: 100% of the amount of the trip.
Our prices are based on 2 people traveling together, within a group of minimum 8 and maximum 14 participants, using the economic conditions effective as of July 29th, 2025, particularly for accommodation rates, transportation, fuel, taxes (stay, security, airport, etc.), and exchange rates: Japanese Yen (1 EUR = 167 Yen). These trips are planned based on long-haul flights in Business Class. Depending on the date of registration, flight classes or one or more flights in the program may no longer be available. In that case, the trip price may be adjusted. The client will be notified according to the terms specified in the general sales conditions on the back of the brochure or the registration form. Additionally, airlines are mentioned for information purposes only and may be subject to change without notice. Safrans du Monde cannot be held responsible for such changes, and no compensation may be claimed in such cases. Given the complexity of the trip, one or more activities may be modified, replaced, or canceled due to an external and unforeseen event at the time of brochure publication (July 29th, 2025). Any interruption of travel not caused by the organizer (such as illness, part of the services, or transport partially covered by insurance, etc.) will not result in any refund. Prices are payable in Euros and may be revised if needed, under the conditions below and the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. If the minimum of 8 participants is not reached, individual rates will apply, or the trip may be canceled with a refund. In case of significant modifications, such as cancellation due to insufficient participants, or changes to itinerary or travel conditions, the client will be informed no later than 21 days before departure. In all such cases, the client has 8 days to accept the new terms or cancel their registration. Paid amounts will be refunded, but no additional compensation may be claimed. Similarly, in case of cancellation due to epidemic, pandemic, force majeure, or unforeseeable and unavoidable circumstances, the client will not be entitled to any compensation.
